SUBJECT: House Bill HB 369 – Georgia Paternity Fraud Bill<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Georgia Senate voted 45 – 5 (90% favorable) to adopt HB 369 – Paternity Fraud Bill as amended by the Senate Special Judiciary Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It has been said that the bill will now go back to the House for reconciliation between the two versions and once reconciled will then proceed to the Governor for signature into law. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I was also told that the bill sponsor can accept the amended version, sign it and walk the bill to the Governor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is a major victory for Paternity Fraud victims within the State of Georgia and will hopefully serve as a model to passage of similar legislation in States that don’t currently have Paternity Fraud Laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thank you to all of the GA Legislators that helped make this legislation possible along with the Paternity Fraud victims and supporters that helped by signing petitions, public meetings, rallies, TV and Radio Interviews, writing Opinion Editorials, placing advertisements, sending emails and anything else to help bring justice to Georgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
