Thank you for taking the time to contact my office recently and express your views on paternity fraud. Your comments are important to me, and you can be sure I will keep them in mind as I work to serve the citizens of Georgia in the United States Senate.
I agree that paternity fraud is a very serious and important issue. Attempts to defraud are harmful to an accused father, as well as to the child. I believe that these crimes should be treated seriously, and I am glad to hear that the Georgia State Legislature is addressing this important issue. While there is no legislation before the Senate at this time related to the issue of paternity fraud, I will be sure to keep your views on this issue in mind should such legislation come before me for a vote.
