Thank you for writing me about HB 369, the bill which addresses paternity fraud. I appreciate you sharing your concerns with me.
Although I agree with your sentiment, Governor Barnes has assured that the only issue at hand in the August Special Session of the General Assembly will be reapportionment and redistricting matters. Because reapportionment is important to ensure that all Georgia citizens are properly represented, the Governor stands opposed to addressing any other issues in August.
I will review the internet information you have suggested, and will be ready to adequately address the issue of paternity fraud when the Legislative Session begins in January 2002.
