The courts often say “You admitted you were the father.” One cannot knowingly admit to a result.

One can admit to having intercourse. One cannot admit to having any first hand knowledge on whether the child is his (unless he has been confined on a boat for 10 months prior to the birth with the mother).

Therefore, you should NOT be prepared to say that one “admits” to paternity. It can’t be done.
