Georgia legislators acknowledge that another form of Child Support Fraud begins with “Paternity Fraud”!
ATLANTA, February 22 — The State of Georgia is taking a stand against the “CRIME” of Paternity Fraud by providing relief in House Bill HB369. This bill is sponsored by several Georgia legislators such as Stanley Watson 70th, Barbara Mobley 69th, Tom Bordeaux 151st, Ron Sailor 71st and Ronald Forster 3rd.

Carnell Smith, Director of the Citizens Against Paternity Fraud group and others have been invited to attend a second hearing today at 1:00PM. The meeting location is in the Georgia Legislative Office Building in Room 506, sponsored by House Rep. Stanley Watson (D-070) 404-656-0220.
“I have received shocking news from GeneScreen (DNA lab providing paternity tests for Georgia Dept of Human Resources) and the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) that confirms the need for paternity fraud legislation in every state”, says Smith.
GeneScreen reports that 30 percent of alleged fathers tested in Georgia for paternity using DNA were NOT the biological fathers. National Data compiled by AABB from DNA labs in the US, reports that 30% of alleged fathers tested for paternity using DNA were NOT the biological fathers.
“There can be only one conclusion, Paternity Fraud is a local and national problem. A man should NOT be forced to pay for a pregnancy that he didn’t commit. I believe there are constitutional issues regarding involuntary servitude, peonage and the lack of equal protection”, says Smith. Especially when the man has an iron clad “alibi”, at least one DNA paternity test with 0.00% paternity. It conclusively, proves he didn’t do it.
Brief History —
In too many cases, alleged fathers end up paying child support on other men’s children AND DON’T KNOW IT! The mother ALWAYS KNOWS of her other intimate relations and makes a willful and conscious decision to keep this information from the alleged father. This is fraud.
Some mothers will use the practice of “Father Shopping”, she will have intimate relations with two or more men then “PICK” the one with most money or best economic advantage. When a mother makes a fraudulent claim to a court in a divorce or a child support action, she usually commits perjury. She may claim to be doing it “for the children”. A crime committed “for the children” is still a crime. Fraud is a crime!
Should mothers have the right to hide the TRUTH about paternity? When mom deceives the alleged father, should he be forced to pay child support for another man’s child based on that deception?
The Georgia House bill HB369 says “NO” and provides a fair and comprehensive solution to end the Paternity Fraud problem and the resulting child support fraud. Please contact the governor, your legislators, friends and families to ask them to support HB369 to stop the unjust practice of extorting money from the wrong man.
Paternity fraud is a crime, crime does NOT PAY and neither should the victim!
